Some rest in Queenstown…

Spent my last night yesterday, in Te Anau with a spontaneous glow worm cave visit. Didn’t know what to do after watching a short film ‘Ata Whenua’, so I just walked to Real Journeys to see what else is on for the evening. Luckily there was still one last trip out to see the glow worms at 8.15pm. If I remember correctly, this is the only place to catch glow worms, besides Waitomo, in the North island. It was amazing!!! It felt like being in outer space, with the stars up close in front of you. Really glad I did it, as I was about to give it a miss, thinking that it’s too touristy. Well, some things are touristy for a good reason!

So this morning I took a 2 hour bus ride to Queenstown, and it’s true what people have said, it’s very busy! There’s so many people here relative to Te Anau, and so many activities to choose from! Just tried Fergburger as well, and my stomach is bursting again(from last evening). It’s good, but not really mind blowing. The queue was fast, so it was alright! Tried the original today, maybe I’ll give it another chance with the pork belly version.

I love my airbnb here! It’s facing Lake Wakatipu, and very accessible to town.

My leg and shoulder muscles are still very much aching from Kepler, so I’m looking forward to a relaxing stay here, but not without hiking up Ben Lomond and Coronet peak!
